The first company operating in the steel business under Marcora\u2019s name dates back to 1878<\/strong>, but it was in 1908<\/strong>, that Giuseppe Marcora reinforced the corporate activity and started producing cold-drawn and cold-rolled sections.
\nIn 1931<\/strong>, supported by his three sons, he expanded the range of products by first installing two furnaces for steel-casting production and, then a small\u00a0 \u201cpilgrim process\u201c hot-rolling mill for the production of seamless tubes and the subsequent cold-drawing. To all this is added the start-up, in the 50ies<\/strong>, of a hot-rolling mill for long products.
\nIt gets to 1995<\/strong>, the year in which the company decides to move the old production site, located in the historical centre of Busto Arsizio, to the current headquarters in Cuggiono. In this way, an important logistic expansion and a total renewal installation are carried out, with the simultaneous decision to deal exclusively with the production of long hot-rolled products. During the following years, Metallurgica Marcora has constantly implemented measures to achieve a technological improvement, aimed at maintaining maximum production efficiency and with the utmost attention to environmental and workplace safety aspects.<\/p>\n
